A celebration of life memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, Virginia E. Allen, affectionately known to her family and friends as Ginger, will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Per Ginger’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Ginger was born on March 14, 1949 in Lamar, Colorado to Earl Christopher and Naomi Virginia (Bailey) Moss and passed away on October 12, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 69.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Allen, her parents, sister, Donna Lu Mitchell, her brothers, Levi B. Mitchell, Clyde L. Mitchell, Donald (Don) L. Mitchell and Kenneth (Ken) G. Mitchell; and Ken’s wife, her sister-in-law, Ann Mitchell.
Virginia is survived by her children, MeLissa Rocco of Colorado Springs, CO; Christopher (Nicole) Allen of Lamar and Douglas Allen of Pueblo, CO, grandchildren, Erik, Christjan, Tyler, Gabrielle and Nicholas. She is also survived by her brother Max A. Moss of Barstow, CA, sisters-in-law JoNell Mitchell of Colorado Springs, CO, Barbara Mitchell of Delta, CO and Georgia Mitchell of Memphis, TN as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
