A Funeral Mass for longtime Lamar resident, Saray Hernandez-Santiago was held at 10:00AM, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Charlie Sena as celebrant. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation for Saray was held on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Saray was born on March 11, 1966 at Yososondua, Oaxaca, Mexico to Florentino and Aurea (Mendez) Santiago and passed away on December 21, 2014 at her home in Lamar at the age of 47.
She is survived by her husband; Teodoro Hernandez of the family home in Lamar, daughters; Noraly Hernandez and Ana Maria Hernandez both of Lamar, grandchildren; David Saldana and JayLynn Estrada and her mother; Aurea Santiago. She is also survived by her sister; Eufemia Santiago of Dumas, TX and five brothers and two sister’s residing in Mexico as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
