Ruben R. Wollert
A Graveside service for longtime Lamar resident, Ruben R. Wollert will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 1:00PM at the Fairmount Cemetery in the Veteran’s Section. Military Honors will be under the auspices of the Lamar V.F.W. Post #3621 and The American Legion Post #71.
Per Ruben’s request there will be no visitation.
Ruben was born on October 15, 1920 at near McClave, Colorado to Reinhart and Pauline (Weimer) Wollert and passed away on February 10, 2015 at the Weisbrod Memorial Nursing Home in Eads, Colorado at the age of 94.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Doris Wollert, parents, brothers; Emmanuel Wollert, Reinhart “Reiny” Wollert, Jr., David Wollert, Sam Wollert, Vernie Wollert and Harold “Buddy” Wollert, sister; Wilma Courkamp, daughter-in-law; Judy Wollert as well as his mother and father-in-law; Virgil Davis and Maggie R. (Lillibridge) Kelley.
Ruben is survived by his children; Darell Wollert of La Junta, Terry (Linda) Wollert of Brunswick, GA, Keith (Susan) Wollert of Lamar and Kelley (Sheila) Wollert of Wiley, eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Emma Miller of Ft. Collins, CO, Ruth (Rev. Dale) Hency of Colorado Springs, CO, Juanita (Larry) Reinhardt of Seattle, WA and Richard (Rhonda) Wollert of Wiley and sisters-in-law; Adeline Wollert of Wiley, Mildred Wollert of Montrose and his brother-in-law Denny Courkamp of Denver as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Weisbrod Memorial Nursing Home either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
