A celebration of life for lifelong Lamar resident, Rod Schwartz will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. Per Rod’s request cremation will follow services.

Visitation for Rod will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 9:00AM until service time at 11:00AM at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Rod was born on July 21, 1958 at Lamar, Colorado to Leroy E. and Barbara Jean (Neuhold) Schwartz and passed away on August 19, 2018 at his home in Lamar at the age of 60.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Schwartz.

Rod is survived by his wife, Lynn Schwartz of the family home in Lamar; children, Becky Schwartz of Lamar and Jason Schwartz of Carr, CO and grandchildren, Morgan and Tyler. He is also survived by his mother, Jean Schwartz of Lamar; siblings, Melinda (Terry) Sneller of Dodge City, KS and Gary Schwartz of Lamar; mothers-in-law, Sandra Barber of Lamar, CO and Naomi Fox of Syracuse, KS as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar FFA either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
