Richard Sena, Jr.
A Mass of Christian burial for longtime Lamar Resident, Richard Sena, Jr., was held at 10 AM Monday January 23, 2017 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Mariusz Wirkowski as celebrant. Burial followed in the Holly Cemetery in Holly, Colorado.
A rosary service was held at 9:30 AM Monday January 23, 2017 also at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Mary Alba officiating.
Visitation for Richard was held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday January 22, 2017 at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar and prior to the rosary at the church.
Richard Sena, Jr. was born on August 21, 1951 in Holly, Colorado to Richard Sena, Sr. and Dulcinea Sandoval-Sena and departed this life on January 18, 2017 at Prowers Medical Center in Lamar at the age of 65.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents – Richard Sr on May 5, 2001; Dulcinea on April 19, 2009; brothers – Joe Sena on February 10, 1990; Ben Sena on November 21, 1995; and Leo Sena on September 14, 1963; brother-in-law – Donald Vargas on April 2, 2007; and sister-in-law Maria Sena on June 29, 2012.
Richard Sena, Jr. is survived by three sisters – Toni Vargas; Annabelle (John) Munez; and Regina Sena all of Lamar; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends to include the SDS Community.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Richard Sena, Jr. Memorial Fund in care of the Peacock Funeral Home.
