A memorial service for longtime Lamar, Colorado resident, Randy Clark Sniff, will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ray Matteson and Ian Blacker co-officiating.
Visitation for Randy will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 1:00PM until 4:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Randy was born on October 30, 1960, in Lamar, Colorado, to Wallace “Wally” and Shirley (Fuller) Sniff and passed away on December 10, 2025, in Branson, Missouri, at the age of 65. He grew up in McClave, Colorado, where he graduated from high school and began building a life marked by hard work, devotion, and deep care for others.
Randy married Sandra (Alexander) Sniff 42 years ago, and together they built a marriage rooted in love, laughter, and genuine partnership. From the beginning, they were the best of friends — a perfect match who understood that marriage was not something to simply have but something to continually nurture. They faced every joy and challenge as a team, always lifting each other up with humor, patience, and unwavering loyalty. With the rule of thumb being, sometimes you just have to agree to disagree.
Their life together was filled with adventure and shared purpose, whether cheering on their kids at games, traveling to see friends, or enjoying quiet evenings at home. They had a way of making ordinary days special, finding joy in small moments and strength in one another. Those who knew Randy and Sandra often said their marriage was an example of what lasting love looks like — two people committed to growing together and never losing sight of the laughter that first brought them close.
For over 40 years, Randy was a dedicated employee of what was formerly Ranco Trailers, now Ranco Dragon. Throughout his career there, he worked in nearly every role within the plant — from welding and finishing work to serving as assistant plant manager. Known by many as the right-hand man and backbone of the plant, Randy’s reputation for dependability, leadership, and integrity was unmatched. He also played a key role in the company’s community initiatives, including its Toys for Tots and Food for Families drives.
Randy’s younger years were filled with athletics, from playing all areas of high school sports, college baseball, and later softball and bowling, to coaching nearly any team that needed a leader. Those who were lucky enough to be coached by Randy often became “his kids,” and he made sure they always had what they needed. That giving spirit carried over to his own children and grandchildren, who inherited his passion for showing up for others. His greatest joy, though, was fishing — a lifelong love that evolved into a deep appreciation for time spent outdoors. In more recent years, Randy could often be found on the golf course, playing corn hole, or simply enjoying time with friends and family at whatever event brought them together.
Randy’s faith was quiet but steadfast, often having conversations with others of the importance of faith and a relationship with God. His confidence in his salvation was sure, and he lived out his beliefs through kindness, loyalty, and service to others.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wally and Shirley Sniff, In-Laws Bud and Donna Alexander, brothers-in-law, Curtis and Kenny Alexander.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Sniff of Lamar; children Kyle (Shalee) Sniff of Walsh, CO; Chad (Brooke) Sniff of Liberal, KS; and Tausha (Cody) Naumann of Pueblo, CO; and by his grandchildren Brendon, Jolee, Easton, Spencer, and soon-to-arrive Halsey. He is also survived by his brother Curtis (Karla) Sniff of McClave, CO, nephews Dalton (Danica) Sniff and Aldon (Shayla) Sniff, all of McClave; and great-nephews Clayton, Daxon, and Rhett, sisters in law Jackie (Terry) Warman, Jayme Alexander-Hiner of Lamar, Diane Alexander of Greeley, and Jan Alexander of Fort Collins; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice, McClave Booster Club, and/or Walsh Booster Club, either directly or in care of the funeral home office.
Randy will be remembered for his steadfast devotion to his family, his tireless work ethic, and the joy he brought to everyone lucky enough to call him a friend.
