A celebration of life funeral service for lifetime Prowers county resident, Maxine Dashner will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker officiating. Interment will follow at
Fairmount
Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 10, 2011 from 1:00PM until 7:00PM at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Maxine was born on December 6, 1916 at Caddoa, Colorado to John Henry and Mary Caroline (Kammerick) Geiser and passed away on August 6, 2011 at the
Holly
Nursing
Care
Center at the age of 94.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years; Paul H. Dashner, daughter; Katherine Creekmore, son and daughter-in-law; Ronald and Donna Dashner, her parents; and siblings; Clara Smith, Dorothy Watton, Marie Geiser, Henry Geiser, Frank Geiser, William Geiser, Andrew Geiser, Charles Geiser, and John Geiser.
Maxine is survived by her children; Karen (Marvin) Hasser of Hasty, Larry (Pam) Dashner of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Mary (Tim) O’Malley of Grand Junction, Colorado, ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her very dear friend and sister-in-law; Mildred Geiser of La Veta
Colorado as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Lamar Christian Church or to a charity of one’s choice either direct or in care of the funeral home office. Condolences may be sent to – The Dashner Family, PO Box 688;
