Lorraine “Lori” Simons
A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Lorraine “Lori” Simons was held at 10:00AM on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Dedication of the grave and interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Lori was held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Lori was born on April 26, 1936 at Kendrick, Idaho to Robert and Madeline (Byers) DePeel and passed away on November 14, 2016 at her home in Lamar with her family by her side at the age of 80.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Bob and Jenese.
Lori is survived by her husband, Harold Simons of the family home in Lamar; children, Brenda (Steve) Brown and Trent Simons all of Lamar, Renee (Steve) Johnson of Salida, CO and Cindy (Mike) Gordon of Arvada, CO, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
