A memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, Lance J. Vanderpoel, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday August 30, 2019 at the Ft. Lyon National Cemetery in Ft. Lyon, CO with military honors by the local VFW.
Per Lance’s request cremation has taken place.
Lance J. Vanderpoel was born on January 10, 1943 in Milwaukee, WI to John Cornelius Vanderpoel and Ruth Roberts-Vanderpoel and departed this life on December 16, 2018 at his home in Lamar at the age of 75.
Lance was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister- Vyvian Vanderpoel.
Lance is survived by three siblings – Marie (Don) Brookhart of Gold Hill, CO; Linda Meeks of Erie, CO; and Greta (Bruce) Harper of Port Orchard, WA as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to their Local Animal Shelter either directly or through the funeral home office.
