Juanita “Jennie” Gerlock
A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery.

Visitation for Jennie will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 1:00PM until 7:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Jennie was born on May 23, 1932 at Prowers County, Colorado to Damacio and Tomasa (Hernandez) Del Rio and passed away on September 1, 2017 at the Prowers Medical Center with her family by her side at the age of 85.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Gerlock, son, Duane Gerlock and her parents.

Jennie is survived by her children, Harry (Kathy) Gerlock, Jr. of Grand Junction, CO and Debbie (Pete) Peters of Lamar, CO, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Mary Pacheco Hernandez, Marge Simpson and John (Jan) Del Rio as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s/Dementia Association either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
