Jose Gilbert “Gibby” Padilla
A celebration of life memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, Jose Gilbert “Gibby” Padilla will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Peacock Family Chapel. Inurnment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
Per Jose’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Jose was born on February 4, 1957 at Springer, New Mexico to Benny and Emma Irene (Martinez) Padilla and passed away on June 27, 2017 at his home in Lamar with his family by his side at the age of 60.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Jose is survived by his wife, Marina Padilla of the family home in Lamar, daughter, Chayalyn Padilla, step-son, Sebrant Alba and one granddaughter, Zejha’Lyn Padilla all of Lamar. He is also survived by his siblings, Carol Santiago, Clara (Johnny) Vazquez, Josie (Frank) Martinez, Star (John) Martinez-Giffin and Jesse (Susan) Vargas as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
