A memorial service for lifelong Las Animas, Colorado resident, John Phillip Gonzales will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, June 5, 2026 at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Per John’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.

John was born on August 18, 1957 at Las Animas, Colorado to Juan M. and Esther R. (Romero) Gonzales and passed away on May 24, 2026 at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 68.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gonzales, his parents, and siblings John F. Gonzales, Regina Galindo and Margie Duarte.

John is survived by his siblings Chris Gonzales of Denver, CO, Pete (Donna) Gonzales of Burkburnett, TX, Molly Gonzales of Lamar, Cecilia Lewis of Burkburnett, TX, Tino Gonzales of La Junta, CO, Ben (Barbara) Gonzales of Lamar, Patrick (Maggie) Gonzales of Lamar, Suzie Gonzales of Denver, CO, Mary (Kevin) Molz of Harmony, NC and Amelia Gonzales of Lamar, CO and brother-in-law Joe Galindo of Lamar, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
