James Jason Litz

A graveside memorial service for longtime Lamar, Colorado resident, formerly of Syracuse, Kansas, James Jason Litz will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 25, 2025 at the Two Buttes Cemetery in Two Buttes, Colorado with Ian Blacker officiating.

James was born on October 14, 1940 at Lamar, Colorado to James Allen and Marie Agnes (Albers) Litz and passed away on July 17, 2025 at the Lamar Estates Nursing Home in Lamar at the age of 84.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Terrill Litz and sisters Velma Comer and Alice Litz.

James is survived by his nephew Marvin (Shaylene) Rosencrans of Longmont, CO and nieces Missy (Pat) Mason of Lamar, CO and Glenda (Cliff) Wilber of MO and great-nephews Logan Rosencrans and Luke Rosencrans both of Longmont, CO, Ethan Mason of Lamar, CO and Jarrod (Lucy) Mason of Pueblo, CO. He is also survived by his cousins, other family and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
