Iletha M. "Ikie" Hubbard
Iletha (Ikie) Mae Hubbard passed away on January 4, 2016 with her family at her bedside.  Ikie will be deeply missed by family and friends whose lives she enriched during her 89 years on earth.  Ikie spent all but a few years in Southeastern Colorado.  She was born on December 1, 1926 in Brandon, CO, raised on the McGee family farm in Bristol, CO. and was a long time resident of Lamar, CO.  She enjoyed and took great pride in making a lovely and comfortable home for family and friends gatherings.

Ikie is survived by daughter Diana Edwards (JW) of Brighton, CO, son Gary Hubbard of Olympia, WA, sisters Mildred Barber of Granada, CO, Peggy Mason (Jim) of Lakewood, CO , Jeanne Whitfield (Bill) of LaFayette, CO, grandsons Rusty Hubbard of Phoenix, AZ. and Chadron Edwards (Laura) of NYC, NY, granddaughters Mitzy Church (Carl) of Grand Junction, CO. and Kasey Hubbard of Olympia, WA., as well as, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family takes comfort in knowing that Ikie has joined our Heavenly Father along with those who  preceded her in death: husband Leonard, sons Ronny and Larry, parents Buirl and Thelma (Ferman) McGee, brothers Melvin and Johnny McGee, daughter in-laws Wanda Hubbard and Patsy Hubbard, grandchildren Kandy Bracket (Lance), Lenny Hubbard, as well as, other members of her extended family and many long time friends.  May they all rejoice together in our Lord's house.

At Ikie's direction her remains have been cremated and will be laid to rest in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar, CO.  Graveside services will be in the near future once other family's health allows them to travel to the services.   Ikie will be deeply missed but never forgotten.  Rest in peace mom and rejoice in God's loving embrace for eternally.
