A memorial service for longtime Wiley resident, Gerald D. Burch, affectionately known to many as Gary, will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Lamar Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Travis Horn officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.
Gary was born on November 29, 1947 in Lamar, CO to Donald McLean Burch and Elsie Mae Hughes-Burch and departed this life on Sunday May 10, 2020 at his home in Wiley at the age of 72.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and by two infant siblings – Jimmy and Joy.
Gary is survived by one son – Jeff (Erin) Burch of Spring Hill, KS; by two grandchildren; and by four brothers – Kenneth M. (Jean) Burch of Monument, CO; Thomas D. Burch of Bayfield, TX; Terrance L. (Betsy) Burch of Palmer Lake, CO; and Daniel A. (Brenda) Burch of Billings, MT; also surviving are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to a charity of one’s choice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
