A graveside memorial for longtime Lamar resident, Dottie Bowen was held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas.
Per Dottie’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing.
Dottie was born on August 28, 1949 at Hershey, New York to Leonard Lammond and Beverly Ann (Manning) Gepner and passed away on May 19, 2016 at her home in Lamar at the age of 66.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Cody L. Samuels and her aunt and uncle Merle and Wilma Arnold.
Dottie is survived by her husband, Bert Bowen of the family home in Lamar, children, Leonard L. Samuels of Lamar and Sean Samuels of Victoria, TX; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Christie (Gary) Walters of Manhattan, KS; Pam Stack of Austin, TX; Mike (Mary Ann) Gepner of Cedar Creek, TX and Brent Gepner of Round Rock, TX as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousin, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dottie Bowen Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
