A private family memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, Dale Wayne Clark will be held at a later date and inurnment will be held at the Dighton Cemetery in Dighton, Kansas.

Per Dale’s request cremation has taken place and there was no visitation.

Dale was born on October 9, 1954 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas to Albert Wayne and Norma Jean (Boone) Clark and passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his home in Lamar from liver complications.

Dale resided in Lamar since 2002. He enjoyed playing the guitar, loved to talk to people, and had a love for pets. He attended school at Dighton, Theoni and Olathe. His working career began as an air freight courier in Fayetteville, AR. He and Janice Bonner were married November 19, 1973 and later divorced. Two children were born to this union.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father and step-mother, Opal Clark; sister, Lanita Vadine and his grandparents, Lela Boone, Roy Boone, Lela and Sheals Clark.

Dale is survived by his siblings, Norma Alene (Rick) Immroth of Cimarron, KS and Delbert E. (Greta) Clark of Dodge City, KS; children, Gary Clark of Siloam Springs, AR and Tracy (John) Bivens of West Fork, AR; grandchildren, Alex, Justin and Heather Bivens as well as nephews, Trevor (Skye) Clark of Kearny, NE; Travis (Kim) Clark of Yukon, OK as well as many cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Cimarron, Kansas and/or the HOPE Center in Lamar either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
