A Mass of Christian Burial for longtime Lamar resident, formerly of McClave, Christine J. Gonzales was held at 10:00AM on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Stephen Olamolu officiating. A rosary service was held prior to the mass at 9:30AM with Deacon Allan Medina reciting. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery.
Per Christine’s request there was no public visitation.
Christine was born on November 21, 1943 at Las Vegas, New Mexico to Claudio and Adela (Sena) Jaramillo and passed away on March 22, 2016 at her home in Lamar with her family by her side at the age of 72.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren, Josiah Guevara and Olivia Grace Gonzales and her brother Eloy Jaramillo.
Christine is survived by her husband, Felix Gonzales of the family home in Lamar; children, Patrick (Crystal Leon) Gonzales, Gloria (Michael) Raymond and Dee (Mike) Perales all of Lamar and Crystal (Donald) Griggs of La Junta, CO; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen and a half great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Vicky (Bob) Loeven of Ft. Collins, CO; Ernest (Corine) Jaramillo and Steven Jaramillo all of Lamar and Salvador (LeAnn) Jaramillo of Greeley, CO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
