Arvel “Buggzie” Lee Netherton

A private family service for longtime Walsh, Colorado resident, Arvel Lee Netherton will be held at a later date.

Per Arvel’s request cremation will take place.

Arvel was born on November 29, 1954 at Tipton, Indiana to James and Norma (Cole) Netherton and passed away on March 18, 2026 at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 72.

He is preceded in death by his father James Netherton and step-father Shorty Criner.

Arvel is survived by his mother, Norma Criner of Muncie, IN, children Michelle (Lupe) Felix of Penrose, CO, Missy (Nick) Gengler of Sioux Falls, IA and J.J. (Melanie) Netherton of Lamar, CO; grandchildren Tia Rodas, Emily Adkins, Elijah Adkins, Dylan (Kacey Slaughter) Netherton, Tanisha (Trevor Nelson) Adamson, Madalynn Leroux, Krysta Wilson and Kaidan Netherton. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Waylon Rodas, Mason Richardson, Rosalie Wilson, Elena Rodas, Beau Wilson and Arthur Nelson, as well as brothers Dave Netherton of IN and Robbie Netherton of IN.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-State 9/11 Tribue Memorial Fund either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
