Allen A. Scriven
A celebration of life for lifelong Lamar resident, Allen A. Scriven will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in the Veteran’s Section with Full Military Honors under the auspices of the Lamar V.F.W. Post #3621 and The American Legion Post #71.
Visitation for Allen will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 1:00PM until 7:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Allen was born on May 26, 1939 at Lamar, Colorado to Joseph Motter and Cleo Ethel (Steadman) Scriven and passed away on May 20, 2015 at the Lamar Estates at the age of 75.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dan Scriven and sister-in-law, Betty Scriven.
Allen is survived by his siblings, Lester L. “Les” Scriven of Lamar, Ileen L. Scriven and Cleon J. Scriven, both of Irving, TX and Dee W. (Karla) Scriven of Colorado Springs, CO and his sister-in-law, Jean Scriven of Lamar. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and nephews, other family and friends also survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation and/or Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
