A memorial service for lifetime Lamar resident, Tomacita Estrada affectionately known to her family and friends as Tommie was held at 10:00AM on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Per Tommie’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
Tommie was born on January 5, 1935 at Lamar, Colorado to Margarito and Frances (Alvarado) Gonzales and passed away on May 13, 2016 at her home in Lamar with her family by her side at the age of 81.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Eppie Joe Ybarra, brothers, Mike Gonzales, Frank Gonzales, Manuel Gonzales, Jesse Gonzales and Rudy Munez.
Tommie is survived by her children, Tom (Kerry) Ybarra of Lamar, Sandra (Joe) Guerrero of Las Cruces, NM, Linda (Rick) Clark of Thornton, CO and Patricia Walkinshaw of Lamar as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two siblings, John (Annabelle) Munez of Lamar and Joe Gonzales of Pueblo, CO and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tommie Estrada Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
