A memorial service for longtime Lamar resident Shirley M. Hartley was held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 10:00AM at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. A private family inurnment followed at Hillside Cemetery in Granada.
Per Shirley’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
Shirley was born on February 4, 1937 at Grants, New Mexico to Charles Frank and Minnie Marie (Malouff) McMillan and passed away on November 13, 2014 at Lamar Estates at the age of 77.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son; Ricky Hartley and brother Robert McMillan.
Shirley is survived by her daughter; Tommi (Howard) Crampton of Rock Island, IL, sister; Nellie (Antonio) Bucat of Wasilla, AK, brother; Charles F. (Grace) McMillan, Jr. of Chautauqua, KS, two grandchildren; William P. (Naoko) Hicock and Janine (Mik) Olson as well as five great-grandchildren; Seika, Kayoli, Leewona, Adelina and Issak. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
