A Mass of Christian Burial for lifetime Lamar resident, Rory P. Alba was held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Charlie Sena as the Celebrant. Deacon Allan Medina recited the Rosary at 9:30 AM also at the church. Interment followed the mass at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation was held prior to the services at the church.
Mr. Alba was born on October 27, 1967 at Lamar, Colorado to Charles S. and Rebecca (Saldana) Alba and passed away at the age of 45 on January 23, 2013 in Lamar.
Rory is preceded in death by his father Charles Alba on October 16, 2000, brother Robert Wayne Alba and an uncle Lawrence Saldana.
He is survived by his children; JoLynn Lovato of Denver, CO; Robert Alba of Pueblo, CO and Richardo Alba of Lamar. His mother, Rebecca Alba of Lamar and his brothers; Paul Ray (Martha) Medina of Granada, Eduardo (Margaret) Saldana of Greeley, CO, Charles Ronald Alba and Randy (Lisa) Alba all of Lamar. Rory is also survived by uncles and aunts: Nick, Paul, Andrew, John, Tony and Joe Saldana, Mary Sena and Irene Borah as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
