           A celebration of life for lifelong Wiley area resident, Melody A. Tempel was held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Wiley United Methodist Church with Reverend T.L. Phillips officiating. Interment followed at the Wiley Cemetery.
            Visitation for Melody was held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 1:00PM until 7:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
            Melody was born on July 28, 1947 at Lamar, Colorado to William McClellan and Alice Estelle (Schroeder) Nunnery and passed away on March 25, 2012 at her home in Big Bend with her family by her side at the age of 64.
            She is preceded in death by her parents; Clell and Alice Nunnery, sister-in-law; Linda Nunnery, brother-in-law; Loren Tempel and sister; Brooke Nunnery.
            Melody is survived by her husband of 31 years- Gale Tempel of the family home in Big Bend; by her sons- Adam (Staci) Tempel of Haxtun, CO and Jake (Cherie) Tempel of Wiley; and by six grandchildren- Tyler, Ryan and Maclin Tempel, Gavin Tempel, and Kyla and Bailey Dodson.  She is also survived by her brother- David Nunnery of Littleton, CO; by her sister- Kim (Jack) Vanhook of Lamar; by one sister-in-law- Guyla Tempel of Big Bend, CO as well as her nieces and nephew- Corissa Vanhook of Pueblo; Katherine Vanhook of Colorado Springs; Michelle (Seth) Downs of Parker, CO; Christina (Kevin) Lutz also of Parker, CO; Curtis (Cathy) Tempel of Big Bend and Coleen (Danny) Tinnes of May Valley, CO; numerous other relatives also survive and many friends.
            Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Wiley United Methodist Church and/or Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
