A Service of Celebration for longtime Lamar resident, Mary Ann Gilbert was held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Lamar United Methodist Church with Reverend Barbara Johns-Schleicher officiating. Interment was held at the Veteran’s Section of Fairmount Cemetery.
Mary Ann was born on December 30, 1933 at Garden City, Kansas to Lester and Alta Marie (Bland) McClure and passed away at the Sangre de Cristo Hospice House in Pueblo on October 7, 2016 at the age of 82.
Visitation was held from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gilbert is survived by her husband Tom Gilbert of the family home; daughter Karen (Randy) Akers of Castle Rock and her son Alan (Lori) Gilbert of Littleton. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Cassandra (Michael) Freeman, Travis (Jacque) Akers, Lindsey Gilbert, Justin Gilbert and Megan Gilbert as well as cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar United Methodist Church or to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
