A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident, Martha K. Peery will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Lamar First Baptist Church with Reverend Dave Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Veteran’s Section of Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Peery will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Peacock Funeral Home
Martha was born August 18, 1928 at Washburn, Tennessee to Clay and Mary (Adams) Coffey and passed away at the age of 84 on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at her home with her family by her side.
She is preceded in death by her husband Guy O. Peery, parents, her grandson Eric Michael Peery and by two sisters - Edna Leeper and Martha's twin sister Margaret Faye Coffey.
Martha is survived by her children: Jim Peery of Colorado Springs, CO; Guyla Peery of Lamar; Ron Peery of Yucaipa, CA and Veryl (Sue) Peery of Lamar. She is also survived by her grandsons Bryce and Sean as well as her sisters; Bonnie (Herb) Foust of Knoxville, TN and Bobbie (Bill) McMahan of Dandridge, TN, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice or to the Lamar First Baptist Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
