Per Margie’s request cremation has taken place at the Arkansas Valley Crematory in La Junta,
Colorado.
Margie was born June 1, 1945 at Las Animas,
Colorado to Juan and Esther (Romero) Gonzales and passed away at her home following a short illness on December 31, 2009 at the age of 64.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Daniel Duarte of the family home in Lamar. Her children; Elena Rivera of Pueblo, CO, Sylvia (Ben) Fernandez of Lamar, Joella Leyba and Bramall of Pueblo, CO, Danielle Michelle Duarte of Tallahassee, FL and Michael (Celeste Andrade) Duarte of Lamar. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Natasha, James, Benjamin, Armando, Brittney, Amanda and
Chad. Also surviving her are her siblings; Chris (Theresa) Gonzales of Denver, Fermin Gonzales of Lamar, Pete (Donna) Gonzales of Texas, Ben (Barbara) Gonzales of Lamar, Tino (Helen) Gonzales of Pueblo, CO, John (Linda) Gonzales of Las Animas, CO, Patrick (Maggie) Gonzales of Lamar, Molly Gonzales of Lamar, Cecilia (Willy) Lewis of Texas, Regina (Louis) Galindo of McClave, Susan Gonzales of Lamar, Mary (Kevin) Motz of Missouri and Amelia Gonzales of Lamar as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other family and friends.
