Mable R. Walls
A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Mable R. Walls was held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday August 22, 2013 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Randy Walls officiating. Interment was held on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11:00AM (CST) at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Kansas.
Visitation for Mable was held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 9:00AM until service time at 11:00AM at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Mable R. Walls was born on January 27, 1926 north of Springfield, Colorado to Charles Henry and Fanchion Etta (Coverdale) Bickford and departed this life on August 14, 2013 at her home in Lamar at the age of 87.
Mable is preceded in death by her husband; Oliver “Ollie” Walls, her parents, sister; Neva (Frank) Wilson and one son; Jeffrey Wayne Walls.
Mable R. Walls is survived by three sons- Randy (Brenda) Walls of Berclair, TX; Monty (Nita) Walls of Wiley, CO; and Danny (Marita) Walls of Elkhart, KS; by one daughter – Sherry Walls of Lamar; and by ten grandchildren – Stacy (Dana) Walls, Valerie Walls, Brandy Walls, Brandon (Kara) Pearson; Sheldon (Ashley) Pearson; Morgan (Katie) Walls; Garret Walls; Kirk Walls; James Walls; and Lindsey Walls; as well as 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters; Mary (BT) Frost of Springfield, CO, and Charlene Lowe of Alabama and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either directly or through the funeral home office.
