A Memorial Celebration for longtime Lamar resident, currently of La Junta, Loretta M. Davis will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Pastor Ken West of the Crowley Community Baptist Church of Ordway, CO Church officiating.
Per Mrs. Davis’ request, cremation has taken place and a private family inurnment will take place at the Hasty Cemetery.
Loretta was born on May 12, 1925 at Rocky Ford, CO to George and Lillie Belle (Southerland) McCracken and passed away at the Crowley County Nursing Center on February 20, 2014 at the age of 88.
She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne on March 6, 2005, parents, her sister Virginia Seibel and a brother Albert McCracken.
Loretta is survived by her daughters; Ruby (Bob) Boles of Lamar and Jerry Fleischacker of La Junta; her honorary daughter Barbara Hitchcock of Burlington; Grandchildren; Marc (Angela) Boles, Teresa (Randy) Boles-Koonsman, and Tammy Fleischacker; Great Grandchildren; Tyler, Trent, Chase, and Raegan Boles, Austin, Taylor and Sydnee Koonsman and Tayla Fleischacker. She is also survived by one great-great granddaughter – Ashlynn Boles as well as her brother- Harold McCracken of Ellicott, CO; and sisters- Evangeline Roundtree of Commerce City, CO, Audrey (Larry) Hase of Littleton, CO and Barbara Cook of Colorado Springs, CO also survive.
Memorial Contributions may be made to ones charity of choice either directly or through the funeral home.
