A private family memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, Lloyd Ovitt Wells will be held at a later date.
Per Lloyd’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Lloyd was born on September 19, 1943 at Syracuse, Kansas to Henry Harrison and Edna Georgia (Henry) Wells and passed away on December 21, 2017 at his home in Lamar with his family by his side at the age of 74.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Norman Kay Wells.
Lloyd is survived by his girlfriend, Marilyn Owen of Lamar; children, Jeff (Debbie) Wells of Wiley; Gari Sue (Ronnie Hoefler) Wells of McClave and Chad Wells of Corona, CA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his siblings, Carrie Sue “Sammie” Nichols of Syracuse, KS and Calvin Eugene (Shirley) Wells of Bucklin, KS as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice and/or charity of one’s choice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
