Funeral services for longtime Lamar resident, Lee J. Centner, was held at 2:00 PM Saturday December 7, 2013 at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar.  Pastor Manuel Tamez will officiate the service and burial followed in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.

Visitation for Lee was held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday December 6, 2013 and on Saturday December 7, from 9:00 AM to service time at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Lee was born on September 8, 1918 at Hartley, Iowa to Otto A. Center and Minnie (Blom) Centner and departed this life on Saturday November 30, 2013 at Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 95.

Lee was preceded in death by his wife – Lela E. Centner on February 23, 2013; by one daughter – Pamela J. “Pam” Williams on March 8, 2009; by two sons-in-law – Jim Geisen and John Williams; by one brother – Bill Centner and one sister – Evelyn Esgar.

Lee is survived by two children – Rex (Sheri) Centner of Wiley, CO and Charlotte Geisen of Gilbert, AZ; by three grandchildren – Matt (Adrienne) Centner of Pueblo West, CO; Jim (Denise) Geisen of Chandler, AZ; and Denneen (Joe) McMurray of Canyon Country, CA; and by six great grandsons; also surviving are numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lamar Area Hospice either directly or through the funeral home office.
