Larry Kelly
A Celebration of Life for current Scottsdale, Arizona resident, formerly of Lamar and Towner, Larry Kelly was held at 10:00AM on Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker officiating. Interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery.
Larry was born on July 26, 1934 at Beaver, Oklahoma to Clyde M. and Eula Dean Kelly and passed away on December 18, 2014 at the age of 80.
Larry farmed and ranched in eastern Colorado for many years and he also earned his degree in accounting at CU Boulder in the mid 1960’s. He also worked as an auditor and CPA in many communities on the Front Range. Larry and his wife retired to Arizona due to health concerns in the 1980’s.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Lois Ann Kelly, his parents, sister; Audrey Charlene Atkinson and his Aunt Ila June and Uncle E.I. “Jack” Spaulding.
Larry is survived by his daughter; Carolyn Sue Thompson of Scottsdale, AZ, grandchildren; Ben Thompson of Phoenix, AZ, Erin Rinaldo and her husband of Sterling, CO and Robin Thompson of Breckenridge, CO. He is also survived by his great-granddaughters; Ada Susan Thompson, Marie Kelly Thompson and Madalynn Claire Rinaldo, sisters; Betty Kelly McCaskill of Gentry, AR and Lela June Bailey of Wheeler, TX as well as numerous friends and relatives.
