A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident, Larry L. Jones was held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Peacock Family Chapel with pastor Rod Coulter officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Jones was held Monday, May 20, 2013 from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Larry was born on November 11, 1930 at Lamar, Colorado to Frank and Rosie (Gibber) Jones and passed away at his home in Lamar on May 16, 2013 with his family by his side. Larry was 82.
He is preceded in death by his wife Audra on April 9, 2001, his parents and 3 sisters; Lucille Taylor, Mary Alice Hubbard and Frankie Bell.
Larry is survived by his daughter Tonya (Wayne) Reinert of Lamar, son Brad (Julie) Jones of Las Animas, grandsons Christopher Reinert, Michael Ourso, Blake (Sarah) Ourso and two great grandchildren; Cody and McKenzie. He is also survived by three brothers; Charlie Jones of Lamar, Floyd (Charlene) Jones of Pueblo, CO and Raymond (Linda) Jones of Arkansas as well as other family and many friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the Peacock Funeral Home.
