A memorial service for longtime Lamar resident June Woelk, 82, was held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Per June’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
June was born July 14, 1931, at Newton, Kansas, to Milton and Alvina (Stucky) Wedel and passed away January 9, 2014, at Grace Pointe Continuing Care in Greeley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Woelk, and her parents.
June is survived by her children: Mike and Trish Woelk of Cape Girardeau, MO; Glenn and Rose Konold Woelk of Fayetteville, AR; Neill and Sue Woelk of the Fort Collins area; Julienne and Barry Schaeffer of Greeley, CO; and grandchildren, Sam (Ashlei); Christian (John); Leland (Carrie); Kim (Casey); Kriss (Luke); Scott; and Tanner.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Library, either directly or in the care of the funeral home office.
