A graveside memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, John W. VanBuskirk will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Riverside Cemetery with Jan Hall officiating.
Per John’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
John was born on November 21, 1938 at Bristol, Colorado to William and Juanita (Elliott) VanBuskirk and passed away on March 8, 2018 at the Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 79.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Johnnie Lynn Wolfgang, his parents, sister, Junie Heier, brother, Jack VanBuskirk and three best friends, Charlie, Oscar and Roscoe.
John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Garcia of the family home in Lamar, his sister, Sharon Castle of Yucaipa, CA as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the John W. VanBuskirk Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
