A graveside memorial service for lifetime Lamar resident Janet G. Smith was held at 2:00PM on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the McClave United Methodist Church. Inurnment followed at the McClave Cemetery.
Per Janet’s request cremation has taken place and there was no visitation.
Janet was born on January 31, 1952 at Lamar, Colorado to Clarence J. and Fern Meryl (Cottrell) Johnson and passed away on March 6, 2017 at Parkview Medical Center at the age of 65.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Smith and her parents.
Janet is survived by five children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sisters, Leah Comer of Lamar, Wilma Miller of Needsville, TX and Jeffa Haney of Branson, MO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends .
Memorial contributions may be made to the Janet G. Smith memorial fund in care of the funeral home office.
