A graveside service for lifelong Wiley resident, Ivy Douglas Collins was held on March 4, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Wiley Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Ivy was born on February 13, 1944 in Evansville, Arkansas to William Otis and Martha Kindness (Brown) Collins. Ivy moved to Colorado with his family as an infant. He lost his courageous battle to colon cancer on February 26, 2016 at Parkview Medical Center with family by his side.
Ivy is preceded in death by his parents and 3 nephews.
He is survived by his six brothers; Loren and Ann of DeKalb, MS, William and Dorine of Lamar, Gene and Cathy of Thornton, J.C. and Betsy of Wiley, David and Sandra of Goodwell, OK, Wilbur of San Diego, CA and his sister Linda of Wiley. Ivy is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews, 37 grand nieces and nephews and 11 great grand nieces and nephews and many friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ivy Collins Memorial Fund through the Peacock Funeral Home.
