A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Gladys M. Brown was held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Reverend Kathy Leathers of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment followed in Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Gladys was held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 10:00AM until service time at 2:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Gladys was born on June 18, 1917 at Purdin, Missouri to Franklin B. and Stella M. (Laugthan) Owens and passed away on July 12, 2015 at the Bent County Heathcare Center in Las Animas at the age of 98.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Loren M. Brown; her parents and her siblings, Owen Dean Owens, Vera Owens, JK Owens and Edwin Owens.
Gladys is survived by her sons, Loren Brown of Lamar, Gary Brown of Navajo Damn, NM and Jack Brown of Lamar; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and her siblings, Earl Owens of Liberal, KS, Lila Maupin of Las Animas.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bent County Healthcare Center either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
