A Funeral Mass for longtime Granada resident, Georgann Licon was held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Stephen Injoalu as celebrant. A rosary service was held prior to the mass at the church at 9:30AM with Deacon Allan Medina reciting. Interment followed in the Hillside Cemetery in Granada, CO.
Visitation for Georgann wsa held on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Georgann was born on September 11, 1969 at Kinsley, Kansas to Guadalupe Ortiz and Cruz Ibarra and passed away on December 17, 2014 at her home in Granada with her family by her side at the age of 45.
She is preceded in death by her father; Guadalupe Angel Ortiz and her siblings; Hilda Gonzales and Margaret Gonzales.
Georgann is survived by her children; Michael Licon of Granada, Shanell Licon of Barryville, AR and Hortencia Ortiz of Granada, grandson; Johnnie Ricardo Licon of Garden City, KS and her mother; Cruz Ibarra. She is also survived by her siblings; Gabriel Ortiz of Colorado Springs, CO, Angela Ortiz of Pampa, TX, Guadalupe Ortiz and Teresa Ortiz both of Lamar, Doloris Ortiz of Trinidad, CO, Robert Ortiz of Chaparal, TX, Albert Gonzales of Pueblo, CO, Andy Gonzales and Greg Gonzales both of Denver, CO, Daniel Gonzales of Colorado Springs, CO, Nancy Campos of Pueblo, CO, Donna Gonzales of Florida, Sarah Ortiz of Granada and Jessie Silva of Kansas City, KS as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces , nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Georgann Licon Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
