A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Francis J. Evans will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Redeeming Love Church with Pastor Mark Viar officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
Visitation for Francis will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Francis was born on March 14, 1921 at Wiley, Colorado to Ellsworth and Cathriean (Keim) Evans and passed away on May 7, 2016 at his son’s home in Littleton, Colorado at the age of 95.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Evans; his parents; and siblings, Leslie Evans, Clifford Evans and Leona Tidd.
Francis is survived by his children, Sheryl Runyan of Englewood, CO, Richard (Carol) Evans of Lamar, Kenneth (Debbie) Evans of Littleton, CO, Thomas Evans and Jack (Debbie) Evans all of Wiley; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends also survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice and/or charity of one’s choice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
