A Rosary service for longtime Lamar resident; Frances C. Maestas was held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at St. Frances De Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Deacon Allan Medina reciting. A Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 AM., Friday, April 4, 2014 also at the church with Reverend Charlie Sena as celebrant. Interment followed at the Wiley cemetery.
Visitation for Frances was held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Frances was born January 13, 1930 at Las Vegas, New Mexico to Alfredo and Maria C. (Romero) Crespin and passed away on March 30, 2014 at St. Mary Corwin in Pueblo at the age of 84.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Arthur E. Maestas, her parents, infant son; Jimmy Maestas, her daughter-in-law; Bobbi Maestas, siblings; Ted Crespin, Arcenio Crespin and Alfred Crespin as well as her brother-in-law; Dan Arguello.
Frances is survived by her children; Mike Maestas and Helen (John) Martinez all of Lamar, Patty (Larry) Hernandez of Colorado Springs, Art (Teresa) Maestas, Jr. of Spearman, TX, Tony (Connie) Maestas of Lamar, Rita (Joey) Borjorn of Pueblo, Steve Maestas and Kenny (Jessica) Maestas all of Lamar as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings; Napoleon (Betty) Crespin of Pueblo, Toni Arguello and Martha Munez both of Lamar and sister-in-law; Alice Crespin of Hasty as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Francis De Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
