A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident, Alta Flossie Bland was held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 14, 2011 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ray Matteson officiating. Interment followed at
Fairmount
Cemetery.
Visitation for Flossie was held on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM and Monday, February 14, 2011 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bland was born on September 9, 1908 at Frederick, Oklahoma to Frank J. and Mollie (Weber) Dittrich and passed away on February 10, 2011 at
Juniper
Village with her family by her side at the age of 102.
She is preceded in death by her husband Amos Orval Bland, parents, a granddaughter and her two sons; Orval and Ervin Bland.
Flossie is survived by her daughter Elsie Hull of
Lebanon, Oregon, 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren as well as numerous other family and many friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice direct or in care of the Peacock Funeral Home.
