A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident, Fern Davis will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, January 7, 2008 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Pastor Diane Hutson of the Friends Church in Las Animas, Colorado. Interment will follow at
Fairmount
Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Davis will be held Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Fern was born on June 17, 1924 at Las Animas to Isaac Noble and Ethel Nona (Hutchins) Hartsell and passed away on January 4, 2008 at
Juniper
Village in Lamar at the age of 83.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harl Davis on March 9, 1985, parents, and her seven brothers and sisters; Elsie Smith, Della Cline, Lawrence Hartsell, Vera Britton, Orville Hartsell, Eldora West and Earl Hartsell.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her son Kenneth (LeAnn) Davis of Lamar, daughters; Glenda Thompson of Pueblo West, CO and Debby (Rick) Pyatt of Lamar. She is also survived by one sister Lilly Mae Hutson of Las Animas, CO and her seven grandchildren; Kenneth C. (Mindy) Davis, Tamara (Rick) Beard, Desiree (Jason) LaCost, Brady (Stacie) Thompson, Christopher Thompson, Derek Thompson, Sheadra (James) Garner and Brent Pyatt as well as seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
