A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Eunice A. Ancell will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Wiley Cemetery.

Visitation for Eunice will be held from 1:00PM until 5:00PM on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Eunice was born on September 27, 1920 at Lamar, Colorado to Martin Walter and Zella Edna (Wright) Copland and passed away on February 8, 2016 at her home in Lamar at the age of 95 with her family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Smith; second husband, Alfred Williamson; third husband J.C. Ancell; her parents; two sons, Harold Smith and John Smith; grandchildren, Joseph “Joey” Bingham and Billy Bingham; great-grandson, Joshua Aaron Galpin; five brothers and one sister.

Eunice is survived by her children, Jerry (Doris) Smith and Edna (Lester) Schwartz all of Lamar and Jo Eunice (Sam) Martinez of Pueblo; 10 grandchildren including her granddaughter, Tamella Corey; nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
