Per Erica’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
Erica was born on May 25, 1987 at Michigan City, Indiana to David L. and Linda S. (Michalski) Groat and passed away on June 16, 2013 at the age of 26.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandpa; Thaddeus Michalski and her paternal grandparents; Herman G. and Arlene Groat.
Erica is survived by her parents; Dave and Linda Groat of the family home in Lamar, sister; Amy Groat and Jeremy Falconburg of Denver, half-brother; Aaron Minidis of Elk Rapids, MI and maternal grandmother; Joanne Michalski of Novi, MI. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles; Michael (Gena) Michalski of San Diego, CA, Alan Michalski of Jackson Hole, WY, Susan Michalski of Novi, MI, John (Angela) Michalski of Jackson Hole, WY, Matt Michalski of Waterford, MI and Bob (Donna) Groat of Florida as well as numerous cousins, other relatives, a host of friends and all of her many animal friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Erica Groat Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
