Elsie Mae Burch
A celebration of life for longtime Wiley resident, Elsie M. Burch was held at 10:00AM on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Lamar Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Lance Halford and Jim Welch co-officiating. Interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Elsie was held from 1:00PM until 5:00PM on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Elsie was born on September 6, 1924 at Holly, Colorado to Larence H. and Nellie I. (Stafford) Hughes and passed away on January 15, 2017 at the Holly Nursing Care Center in Holly, Colorado at the age of 92.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. Burch, two infant children, Jimmy and Joy Irene, her parents, her granddaughter, Carolyn Burch and her siblings, Robert Hughes, Iva Wolgram, Ruby Hutchison, Alice Peters and Carol Harms.
Elsie is survived by her children, Kenneth E. (Jean) Burch of Monument, CO, Gerald D. Burch of Wiley, CO, Thomas D. Burch of Bayfield, TX, Terrence L. (Betsy) Burch of Palmer Lake, CO and Daniel A. (Brenda) Burch of Billings, MT, nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Wardlow of Holly, CO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Missionary Baptist Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
