A private family memorial service for Lamar resident, Ellen Sanders will be held at a later date.
Per Ellen’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
Ellen was born on August 21, 1941 at Prowers County, Colorado to Orval and Lottie (May) Cordell and passed away on August 28, 2014 at Penrose St. Frances Palliative Hospice at the age of 73.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her three daughters; Loretta Mata, Robin Jimenez and Cindy Aldrich.
Ellen is survived by her husband of 39 years; Keith Sanders of the family home in Wiley, two children; Ronnie Aldrich of Independence, KS and Linda Garrison of Farmington, NM and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters; Chris Cordell of Lamar and Flo Manning of Wiley, two brothers; Kenneth (Donae) Cordell of California and Keith Cordell of Pueblo as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Indian School either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
