A Memorial Celebration for lifelong Lamar resident Eldon S. Myers was held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Mike Schneider of the Wiley Community Church officiating. Interment of the ashes followed at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Eldon was held from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Monday, September 2, 2013 at the funeral home.
Eldon is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Bryson Schemahorn, brother; Wayne Myers and sisters; Wyona Cooper, Pamela Heck, Leona Fuller, Freda DuVall and Luella Smith.
He is survived by his wife; Dorothy of the family home in Lamar, children; Sherri (Steve) Schemahorn of May Valley, Randy (Judy) Myers of Montrose, CO and Rod (Eula) Myers of Wiley, grandchildren; Scott (Kristin) Schemahorn, Megan (Eric) Donahue, Seth Myers, Brianna Myers, Cody (Jordan) Myers, Bryant Myers and Amy (Brian) Herrera, great-grandchildren; Greysen, Fletcher, Ryland, Sydney, Jayden, Ben, Mason and Baby Myers in the Hopper. Also surviving is his brother; Ivan Foster (Jo Mae) Myers of Union City, CA as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
