A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident, Dorothy Crittenden will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker officiating. Interment will follow at the

Coolidge, Kansas.
Visitation for Mrs. Crittenden will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Crittenden was born on December 31, 1928 in Harlan County, Kentucky to Rufe and Janie (Wallace) Hooks and departed this life on Thursday April 28, 2011 at
Juniper
Village in Lamar at the age of 82.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, sons-in-law; Charles Humburg and Greg Young; nephew; Kurt Shedeck and by six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband Bob Crittenden of the family home north of Lamar, daughters; Linda (Dennis) Allen of Greeley, CO; Brenda (Dave) Smith of Holly; and Robbie Sue Young of Lamar; as well as a very close friend “My Debbie”. Dorothy is also survived by four grandchildren; Brent Humburg; RaiLynn Machin; Christopher Allen; and Ruth Ann Harris, Sir Maxamillian Young, by three great grandchildren; Payton, Hadden, and Mica; by her sister-in-law Colleen Shedeck of Holly and by her brother Earl Hooks also of Holly; by her nieces and nephews; Earleen, Celinda, Bart Jr., Debra Jo, Clista, and Vicki; numerous other relatives and many friends also survive.
