Don Peters
A celebration of life graveside in-urnment for Lamar resident, Don Peters will be held on Saturday April 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Veteran’s Section of Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar with Pastor Paul Floyd of the High Plains Fellowship officiating. Military honors will be under the auspices of the local VFW and local American Legion.
Don was born on March 23, 1949 to Edwin Lawrence Peters and LaVonne Jane Murry (Peters) and departed this life on February 14, 2018 in the Philippines at the age of 68.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; by a brother – Hugh Peters and a sister Vicky Peters.
He is survived by his wife – Luisa Peters; son Todd (Janice) Peters; Step-children; grandchildren, sister – Nellie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
Don was an Army Veteran enlisting on November 26, 1967 and received the highest rank of SSG before leaving the Army on November 5, 1970.
